Broker refused to accept accountability for their carrier’s illegal actions of brokering freight without a license. The delivering carrier on the load was not paid and this broker put the shipper/receiver at risk of being sued by delivering carrier.
Doesn't understand the issues of double broker fraud.
The allegations are false and malicious. The carrier never attempted to contact our office until several months later, a 3rd party company (who alleged represent the carrier) contacted our office with unverifiable allegations. We have no clarity of this carrier hauling our load, other than a edited BOL without their company name on it. This carrier, booked a load with another broker who alleged was not theirs. Our company hired a current good standing active carrier from whom information was shared with the mentioned 3rd party company. Due to their double broker allegations, our office recommend to the 3rd party company to initiate a proper Police Investigation but they refuse to do so. The police involvement is crucial in order to eliminate the possibility of this allegations been a fraud as well. Instead of going against the responsable(s), this 3rd party company is maliciously trying to collect a check and harm our business relationship with or costumer.
